Solana Beach Coastal Rail Trail Public Art

Solana Beach / Coastal Rail Trail Arches

Each monument consists of 2 arches. The arches will welcome visitors to Solana Beach and into the Coastal Rail Trail. The bottom of each column will be covered with rounded beach rocks and fossils to represent the beach cliffs. The earthy colors gradually becoming brighter as they reach the top, representing the progression of Solana Beach
history. The brightest colors at the top reflect the vibrancy of the present-day Solana Beach. Imagery such as fossils, shells, birds, fish, farming, small signs, word tiles, historical tiles, as well as metal and ceramic artifacts will artistically tell Solana Beach history.

Like all community projects, participation of the owners and users (residents of Solana Beach) make the project more successful.

With this in mind, I am opening an opportunity for you to be involved in shaping the image of your City.
